CLUB MOORINGS & RECIPROCITY

Club Moorings

While cruising, members may enjoy free use of club moorings at Hamburg Cove, Great Salt Pond in Block Island, Sag Harbor and North Haven. These moorings are available for up to two nights on a first-come, first-served basis to members flying the club burgee. Locations of the club moorings are as follows:

  • The Hamburg Cove mooring is located near the wood pier on the south side of the anchorage.

  • Look for mooring #175, a blue mooring ball marked "ESSEX". It is located on the west side of the fairway as you enter Great Salt Pond, opposite a large grey house at 41.11.344 N and 71.34.984 W.

  • Both moorings are white balls with a blue stripe and are marked "EYC".

Mooring E-2 is located inside the breakwater and directly across from the steel town pier, 300 yards south of the breakwater tip at 41.00.376 N and 72.17.641 W.

Mooring #11 is also inside the breakwater, but on the North Haven Peninsula side, 200 yards west of the 1st red nun (#2) at 41.00.542 N and 72.17.878 W.

Reciprocal Privileges

Also while cruising, members may enjoy the use of facilities at other yacht clubs that offer corresponding courtesies to our members. If necessary, letters of introduction can be arranged through the Club office. Click the button below for a list of reciprocal clubs.
